If you have a university degree from abroad and are interested in our Master's programme in Information Technology, please visit our Master's Course Web Page.
There you can find all necessary information in five different languages.
If you are studying at one of our partner universities and plan to spend one or two study semesters in Mannheim, you must by all means have been selected by your home institution. This is a requirement to obtain the exchange student status - especially for Erasmus scholarships. Please contact the responsible office at your home university to obtain information regarding the selection process.
You can reach us anytime via e-mail.
The language requirement depends on the study programme you aim to take part in:
For admission to a Bachelor course, either a German school-leaving degree or the DSH language exam (or an equivalent) is required by law. You can improve your command of German during your studies by attending our German courses for academic purposes.
Master applicants need a sound basic knowledge (B1 level at least) before enrolling. During their studies, they will keep improving their command of German up to DSH level, parallel to the technical subjects. This examination (or an equivalent exam) must be passed before obtaining the MSc degree.
Exchange students should have a good basic command of German (B1), enough to participate in the lectures successfully and to communicate in the laboratories. They can attend our German courses during their stay in Mannheim.
