Required language skills

The Master programs Information Technology, Medical Engineering and Computer Engineering are in German language. International applicants must prove language skills of at least B2.2 level at the time of application and submit the required language certificate (DSH 2 or equivalent).

Application procedure

Please contact the coordination center in Konstanz for the recognition of certificates before application. The application is then submitted to the Applicant Portal at Mannheim University of Applied Sciences.

Application deadlines
> July 15 for the winter semester
> January 15 for the summer semester

Copies of the following documents must be uploaded with the application:

> a letter of application, which also indicates the intended specialisation courses and - if available - the Information on employment after the first degree,

> the certificate of a Bachelor's degree (or International equivalent) in electrical engineering, information technology or computer science,

> proof of vocational training, practical work or other achievements.

Admission requirements

> Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) with

  >> at least 210 ECTS credits
(In the case of a degree with 180 ECTS credits, admission is subject to the condition that the missing credits are completed during the master's program)

  >> a minimum 3-month Bachelor thesis

> Field of study with a major in information technology, computer science, or electrical engineering.

> Minimum average grade: better than or equal to 2.5 (or international equivalent)

Fulfillment of these requirements is necessary for participation in the selection process, but does not guarantee admission.
